I purchased a Wybot C2 pool robot for our 16' x 32' inground swimming pool with a 4' shallow end and 8' deep end.
First thing I will say is that the delivery was very fast as I received the robot within two days. I will say too that the robot was received with damage to the box in three places.
I unboxed the robot and charged it for 12 hours initially to ensure it was fully charged. I downloaded the Wybot app and setup the unit to do a cleaning which was easy. For the first cleaning, I did a floor and wall cleaning and started the cycle. I had some leaves, bugs, worms, etc. along with some fine particulate matter. Upon reading the manual, I did realize that the particulate matter wouldn't be contained as I did not use the fine particulate screen for this cleaning. When the robot was done, about an hour and a half later, as expected the pool was cloudy as the particulate matter was dispersed instead of being vacuumed up. What wasn't expected is that only about 60% of the large debris was vacuumed up. There were some leaves and bugs left over. The unit only had 2% battery remaining so I charged it and ran another floor/wall cycle. After the second cleaning, about 15% of the debris was still left. In addition to the unit not cleaning the pool after two cycles I also noticed that when I turned the unit on before putting it in the pool the second time, the battery said 100% and within 3-5 seconds, the percentage dropped to 95%.
I charged the unit again overnight and waited about two days to let all the particulate matter settle as I wanted to try the turbo floor mode, which is supposed to vacuum up the fine particles. When I started it for the third time, the battery percentage again dropped from 100% to 96%. I put the particulate screen in and installed the additional two discharge screens and put it in the pool. About an hour later, it was done and again, the pool was cloudy. The particulate screen had very little dirt in it and it didn't work like it was advertised.
At this point I contacted Wybot support to ask if they could help. The tech was very quick to respond and I informed them of what I did and what I observed over the past few days. The tech asked me to charge the robot and put it in again in turbo floor mode, make a small video, and take some pictures to assist them in trying to determine why it doesn't seem to be working. I videoed right from showing the pool before putting the robot in the pool (the water was clear as the fine particles had settled on the bottom and there was also larger debris). I videoed me getting the robot ready and setting it up, placing it in the pool, it running, it when it was done, removing it from the pool, and cleaning it. Again it should be noted that the pool was cloudy and there was very little fine particles in the particulate screen. I also informed the tech that I was interested in returning the robot for a refund under their 30 day satisfaction guarantee as it is not working as expected.
After sending the video and pictures to the tech, I was informed that they would send me a return label to return thus unit at no charge and they would send me a replacement as they figure the housing for the particulate screen was not sealed correctly. They also said that the battery percentage dropping from 100% to 95% is "normal" due to the large drain when powering the unit up (this seems a bit excessive to me but could be plausible).
So, at this time, I am rating the review a two as this robot is not performing anywhere near the way it is advertised. Delivery speed, tech responsiveness, and tech assistance are excellent but as I bought the robot to clean the pool and it's not doing it's job, this is the reason for the low rating.
I will amend the rating if the replacement unit works as advertised.
